Methamphetamine Addiction Treatment Programs
Though methamphetamine addiction can progress through predictable stages, it still takes an experienced addiction specialist to make an accurate assessment of the disease and design the most appropriate treatment program that will ensure a long-term successful recovery. Depending on the root cause of a patient's methamphetamine addiction, methamphetamine addiction treatment options at Unity Recovery Center can vary greatly.
Outpatient Rehab Program
While we prefer that all of our patients seek residential treatment for methamphetamine addiction, we understand that sometimes this conflicts with the every day roles a patient needs to sustain such as employment or raising a family. Patients who are not able to reside in our facility may elect to participate in our outpatient program. This program is designed to encourage long-term abstinence. Our outpatient treatment programs may include problem-solving groups and specialized therapy such as individual counseling, group therapy, and 12-step meetings. A patient's outpatient program can range from days to months, depending on the degree of addiction or a patients willingness to engage fully in their program.
Residential Rehab Program
Outpatient rehab is convenient and can be successful, but being removed from a toxic environment and placed in a facility where a patient can detox safely and receive around the clock care is sometimes the best way to receive the most comprehensive methamphetamine addiction treatment. Methamphetamine is an extremely dangerous and addictive drug and receiving optimal care is essential to a long lasting recovery. Unity Rehab's residential methamphetamine addiction treatment programs touch on every aspect of a patient's addiction and treat each patient as a whole, which includes focusing on the mind, body and spirit.
Holistic Treatment
Our holistic methamphetamine addiction treatment service is a part of our residential rehab and includes acupuncture, exercise therapy, health and nutritional counseling, spiritual guidance and counseling, meditation, massage and yoga. These programs are designed to provide a natural and drug-free way to overcome withdrawal symptoms and other difficulties experienced during the recovery process. They can also be used to help manage stress or chronic pain and these techniques can be applied throughout a patient's life, helping him or her avoid relapse even after they have left our rehabilitation facility.
Cognitive Therapy
A patient's residential methamphetamine addiction treatment program may also include cognitive therapy or counseling, depending on the reasons why a patient chose to begin abusing methamphetamine in the first place. For some, where trauma and depression may have been the cause, a patient would benefit from our treatment center's individual counseling sessions, where they can discuss the root of their addiction problems privately and confidentially. For others, their reasons for addiction could have stemmed from something as simple as a desire to fit in, to cure boredom, or to replace the use of another drug they were not able to gain access to. These cases may benefit from group therapy sessions where they can identify with other addicts and gain the appropriate support and encouragement needed to live a drug free life.
Extended Care Program
For those who participate in any of our residential or outpatient methamphetamine addiction programs, our long term aftercare support programs are recommended, as they are essential for long-term recovery. From sober living arrangements to finding 12-step meetings located in close proximity to wherever a patient chooses to reside, Unity Recovery center is committed to helping its alumni for the rest of their lives. We are dedicated to preventing relapse and getting our patients back on the road to recovery safely and immediately should relapse ever occur. Coping with the challenges of the "real world" will take a large amount of commitment, but we believe that every patient can achieve and maintain success, so long as they take one day in recovery at a time.
